they smoked from one store to another, I actually felt sorry for them.
Wow! Now that's a concept I've not even begun to grasp. Instead of being jelous or wistful about a smoke while those are around, you've completey chosen a different attitude you felt sorry for them. That's something I really need to mentally work on. That changes everything for me and could save me from future failure. Teach me this wisdom you have. Do we imagine them in their underware? ;p No seriously, that shows your commitment to your quit, and you should be very proud to have reached this level. Second hand smoke sometimes still smells good to me, but I avoid it when possible. I've heard them too. They fuss and fight, both trying to make you see their side. Hmmm, one trying to rise above the other. Luckily, we have the common sense as being the mediator of the whole process, which shows us that we are bigger than our foolish thoughts. LoL I just went through that one again a few days ago, key word is distraction. I was out all day today with my smoking friends, can you imagine?? I really have to say that it helped me. They are really respectful they only smoke outside and try to stay away from me LOL, but when we get back in the car OMG it stinks, I can't believe I stank like that, I wonder how hubby could deal with that, I asked him tonight, he said it only lasted a few minutes and then your perfume took over. We went furniture shopping for their house and they smoked from one store to another, I actually felt sorry for them. FREEDOM it's all worth it. Gonna you're doing so well, (stick )with the program it's so gratifying. hugs :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 96 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,454 Amount Saved: $384 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 18 Mins: 58 Seconds: 18

Ness, give it time ,patience is the key in this journey, when you get your smell sense back I guarantee you if someone smokes outside and then gets in the car, it stinks so much that you wonder why you ever wore expensive perfume while smoking it's useless really. And no you don't have to imagine them in their undies LOL but just watch them smoke, inhale exhale, squint the eyes ,the dragon drag through the nose and then it starts, the coughing. Plus one smoke at every pit spot and a needed one. Enjoy FREEDOM it's all worth it :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 97 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,461 Amount Saved: $388 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 20 Mins: 26 Seconds: 29

Can you hear it???? Those voices...... There is a battle going on in my head at times. The 'good' guy vs the 'bad' guy. 'Stick with the quit, you are doing sooo well.' 'One smoke won't hurt you, baby. You've done it before...' I am so glad you all understand this. If you hear voices you are: 1. quitting smoking or 2. Schizophrenic Either way......I won't smoke. Just find the similarities between psychosis and smoking cessation rather interesting!

Thanks for the responses! When the guys in the white coats come after me, I'm dragging the whole lot of you with me! LOL Is there such as thing as 'group' auditory hallucinations? I am in no danger of smoking. Everything is P-E-R-F-E-C-T, actually.

Gonnadoit - My voices turned into fists and they beat each other up every day at first! Yes do it, NO don't over and over again. But here I am later on in my quit and the fists stopped a long time ago, the voices became a whisper and now most of the time they are silent. Thank Goodness!! You're doing a great job! We are proud of you!
