weekend plans

Hi Everyone, I am on my 3rd day no smoking. I am very proud of myself. The cravings have been bad but I have my gum and mints and the coping skills that have helped. So I am good for now. I take it one hr at a time. My friends (who are smokers) invited me out this weekend and they are all very supportive of my quitting, but I don't think that I am going out with them. I think it is still early in my quit and I am still fighting cravings. I think I will just stay in where I can look at my lists of positives for not smoking. I am also going to treat myself to a sundae as my rewards. I hope everyone has a smoke free weekend, N.O.P.E. ~Valic My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 12 Amount Saved: $10.6 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 6 Seconds: 58

Thanks everyone for the support! I really want to quit this time. Smoking is getting so old! And what kind of example am I setting? Yeah its cool to pay to kill yourself? Anyway, I have my mindset for this weekend and I will be strong. Have a safe weekend! ~Valic My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 13 Amount Saved: $10.6 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 13 Seconds: 32

I'll join you in not smoking this weekend and also in staying away from second hand smoke. Hey ... I didn't quit smoking just so I could suck down some one else's poison. Hooyah! Valic - It sounds to me like you have a few brain cells working. What I mean is, that's a really smart decision. I applaud you... It takes a special person to know their limitations and respect them. If you keep up that kind of thinking, this quit is yours. Nice work. Valic, The fact that you can tell yourself that you are not ready to socialize with smokers tells us that you are well prepared and on your way to a successful quit! Some days will be better than others. Always remember that our support and advice will always be available. Enjoy your sundae. What a great reward on such a hot, hot day :).
