It does make sense and that great attitude is what will carry you through the tough times. Also, once you've made it through today you'll always have that to encourage you. "If I could make it through Day 3 then I can get through this..." Stay Strong and stay close to the SSC! Hi JD, You are doing AWESOME. It may not feel like it at the moment but you are because your coping skills are all kicking in and in a few more hours, you'll never have to go through Day 3 again! Pull out all the stops to get you through this - chewing gum or licorice, drinking lots of water and whatever else it takes. Start thinking about rewards if you haven't already. Something nice you can do for yourself tonight? My desk looked like a 7-11 the first couple weeks of my quit but minute by minute and hour by hour I got to where I am now. You are right - it's not good right this minute BUT there are good things going on too. That pizza might taste especially good if you've started to get your taste/smell back. It is worth all these jaw clenching moments and day by day they ease up a bit. Easy for me to say, right?! You are doing great though...
