Dear Steven Congratulations on your decision to quit smoking! This is no doubt the very best thing you can do for your health. You have come to the right place for support and help to quit smoking. Do make sure you are prepared to launch a successful quit. There are tools to the left of this page that can help you get started. Clean the house and car of ashtrays, lighters and of course the smokes. I actually cleaned well.....shamppoo the carpet in the car and house. Wash the curtains...etc. Also, make sure you frink plenty of water. Suck on hard candy, lollipops, gum. I used cinnamon sticks too. I also liked the book by Allen Carr.....Easy Way Then check in here everyday and let us know how you are doing. Take Kare and Stay strong. Hi, Steven. Congratulations on your quit and welcome to the SSC. I can so relate to your disgust with smoking. That was how I was when I quit (see stats below!). Even though you think you know what you're in for, it will probably be more than expected. But keep your chin up and your determination in place. No matter how bad it may get, it is only temporary and will not harm you. Smoking addiction is permenant and will kill you. Stay close, Steven. Read much, post often. Let us know how you are doing and if we can help. This is a grand choice you've made for your life. I'm glad you've decided to join us. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 379 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,590 Amount Saved: $1440.2 Life Gained: Days: 70 Hrs: 18 Mins: 7 Seconds: 27
