First day

Hello, I'm Sallys_daughter. Today is my first smoke-free day. I've quit before, but have never been successful. I'm doing the patch & wellbutrin. I feel okay, not stressed or anything. I mostly feel confused as my entire day has been different. I've been telling anyone who will listen that "I've quit." I'm doing this to save my marriage, of course I've always WANTED to quit, but my husband asked me point-blank: "do your cigarettes matter more to you - than I do?" Boy if that didn't make me feel bad. Any way, I'm trying to be positive and not worry.Text My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/10/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

Sally's Daughter, This is actually GREAT - focus on the great support you will have from your husband. There are folks who have to try and endure a quit with a spouse who is still smoking, which has got to be hell! If you want this quit and he is willing to help you, RUN WITH IT! You're feeling okay - all you need to do is keep up the good work. Until you get used to your "New" life and routine, you will be confused at times. At those times just smile and take a deep breath and say I'm so glad I don't smoke anymore!!!!!!!!!! (Yep, I still do this) sorry to get carried away!! Hi Sally's daughter :) Welcome~ Your husband loves you and thus 'your smoking' scares him. He doesn't want you to die from smoking. Lung cancer is a very painful way to go. You don't want that either. Love yourself by holding onto this quit no matter what. Look at it as an opportunity to 'feel better' in the long run. Sure, it's a struggle in the beginning but the BEST things rarely come easy. Getting free from nicotine prison is THE BEST! Plus, there are some things you can do to make your quit journey a rewarding one. Read and research. The more you know about 'what to expect' (and when) the easier it will be to cope (without the poison chemical sticks). Do this for U. All the best :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/20/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 263 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,803 Amount Saved: $1315 Life Gained: Days: 25 Hrs: 0 Mins: 46 Seconds: 30
