Well my quit day is june 1 and today i thought i would put on that patch and start today. I had a few friends though that i had to say goodbye to first: Mr. Coffee who has been my inspiration of waking up everyday to his wonderfull aroma scent, and Mr. Cig who got along so well with Mr. Coffee and was always there for me when I needed him, but the time as come when the two of them will have to find someone else as their three some. So I will let you know how it goes or if i will be tracking my old friends back, wish me luck

I am so glad that you quit today, healthier! :) One day closer to being free of Mr. Cig (a bad guest as others have pointed out, a guest that makes you think he cares but then tries to hurt you). Check in with us and let us know how you are ! ... actually I'll let you into a little secret. Mr Ed spoke to Mr Coffee in private and they both agreed that they didn't care much for Mr Cig. Mr Ed now sits with Mr Coffee every morning, happy that Mr Cig isn't around. And day by day, Mr Ed is forgetting that he had such a 'friend' as Mr Cig. Mr Ed ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 106 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,193 Amount Saved: 795 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 17 Mins: 56 Seconds: 41

This thread so rocks! :) Congrats healthier me on your first day!!! Mr. Cig was, 9 times out of 10, an UNINVITED Guest in my world. The 1% of enjoyment I got was when I actually wanted the cig and didn't 'need' it. Yeah right. I needed it even when I thought I just wanted it. I had myself convinced of it! Uninvited for sure. I really like the enjoyment of sitting out back and coughing too. LOL. I sure used to look forward to that! Really now, it is time for a reality check. Are we living, or just thinking about it?! Mr. Coffee and Mr. Donut have become good friends now, and I would like to say goodbye now to Mr. Donut and say hello to Ms. Yogurt...we'll see how they get along :) You can do it, with or without Mr. Coffee. You do need to do what works best for you, as it has been pointed out. I have to agree though, that Mr. Coffee and Mr. Computer do go very well together!! Many Blessings, Eve :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 52 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 423 Amount Saved: $156 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 10 Mins: 40 Seconds: 38

Healthier, I said the same thing as the others somewhere in another post. The breakfast club is now me, Mr. Coffee and the SSC. It's great to stay in the house in the morning and not head outside or garage to smoke in pajamas. I'm sure my paperboy is happy he does not have to smell the smoke wafting out of my garage anymore either ! Hello healthier me; I too thought I would have to give up coffee. Many people here did just that. But I didn't. I now grab my cup of coffee and get on my computer. So now, my coffee and computer go together. That bond between coffee and cig is a distant memory. Do what you think will be best for you. Quitting smoking is the most important. Best wishes. Please keep us informed! ;) 4my2girls What Consumes Your Thoughts Controls Your Life My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 86 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,594 Amount Saved: $281.22 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 23 Mins: 0 Seconds: 40
