I still get up and go looking for my cigarettes. When I take a break here at work i find myself absent mindedly heading toward the smoking area. I have to laugh at myself. It makes me realize what control that addiction had on me, and to some extent, still does. I was so conditioned to feed the addiction that my life was altered by it to suit its needs. YIKES!
I'm really glad my eyes are open now, and it seems like yours are too. I think you see these urges for what they are, the addiction dying, and trying it's best to survive in you, but you're not gonna let that happen are you?
When you hit a trigger point in your day, think about how controlled you were and get mad, not sad.
