Rich I know how hard it is! You can do this! I remember actually enjoying the spaced out feeling. I laughed alot because I was so distracted by being stoned on oxygen! I found the key to keeping your quit is determination. We are addicts and we have to expect that temptation. Stick to it, drink water. Stay busy. Delay, delay, delay that crave!

Hi, Rich. Sorry you are having a rough time. It does suck, but the only thing you can do is just wait it out. Every crave you get through is a huge accomplishment and, it WILL get easier, I promise. Drink lots of water, suck on hard candy, chew gum, doodle, keep posting. Whatever will get you past it. You can doooooo it!! ((((Rich)))) Feebs :)

Hi Rich! Congrats on making the choice to quit! Day 2 was hard for me also, and day 3, and day 4 - day 5 it started to get easier. Just remember ONE DAY AT A TIME! You can do this. And since you know that day 10 will be especially hard for you you can be prepared. Plan something really special for that day, change up your routine, hang out with some non smoking friends! Do anything that will distract you and help you get through that dreaded day 10! You can do it - you're already doing it! Cheers! Hi Rich, Welcome to SSC, we are so proud to have you join us. Yes, Rich it is tough. And it sounds like you are going cold turkey, is that right? I admire those who can do this, you really have to have a good attitude and determination to commit to this. It takes all three, to stand and fight for your quit. You will find that it is so worth it.. As you have been told be sure to drink lots of water, that will help wash all those chemicals out of your body. Be sure to post and vent all you want to that will really help. And you will find someone is always here to help you. So stay close to SSC it will help you immensely. Stay strong and keep busy at something you like to do. second day sucks. I think its the even numbers that are harder to deal with. This isnt my first attempt at quiting. I seem to fall weak at about the 10 day every time i have quit in the past. Well Im back and and its day 2.
