Babs, it really is you, I had seen your name on another post and I posted: IS THIS REALLY YOU BABS.... Congratulations on those 19 beautiful days. You are doing great. I know how proud you must be to be smelling so good, and not dropping ashes all over the place. I'm so sorry you had a bad experience at the camp grounds. You did right you left the situation, well I'm glad that you are home where it is safe. That is where I feel safe. You are right Babs a friend should respect your feelings. But you have to remember they are addicts too. But I bet you could tell them a story or two. Is your husband going with you, when you go back to the camp grounds? Thank you so much for sharing and I look forward to your next post....Hang in there BABS....And be STRONG.... Babs, I'm so glad that you are able to get out into nature and enjoy it. I love the outdoors. We will always be here for you Babs, so you know what to do when you need help. I pray that you don't need the kind of help that you did that first week....No one ever wants to go through that again... Has your breathing improved since you quit smoking? I started noticing I was breathing better in just a few days. Isn't that wonderful... Babs, just remember one step at a time. And keep the determinations it will take you far. Take care!! Babs, How about that Luna and Lady, now there are two ladies that you can depend on...They have been through the fire. We all think at some point that we are the only ones that feel this pain, an anger. But deep down we know that isn't true. I believe that you got your answer here tonight. This is the kind of support you get when you reach out to the people at SSC. I know that you are happy that you are here, and are able to express your true feelings. We are happy to have you.. You just keep walking carefully and carrying that big stick, and YELL REALLY LOUD WHEN YOU NEED HELP... Hi Babs, Wow, just look at those 20 days, I am so proud of you. the cravings are normal. But you have done such a good job of knocking that monkey off your back, so put him in his place. You have the power to do that, you are bigger than he is. I know that you want to stay home where it is safe, and I hate that you have to go back to the camp grounds. You know what to do, are there anyone there that doesn't smoke? If there is hang out with them. I know that you are afraid, but you did this once before and you can do it again. Stay strong babs, and don't let that Nico demon steal your quit. It is YOURS not his....Taking your computer is a great idea, you can stay close to SSC and let us know how you are doing. I know that you can do anything for three days, or until Friday. You're not on the patch are you?? That was the only time I had nightmares, but when I took it off at night they stopped. Don't feel foolish asking questions that is what SSC is all about. And don't ever think of yourself as stupid... You're a winner and don't you ever forget that. So while you're gone post as often as you can. I look forward to your posts. Have a great two days... Hi Babs, Welcome to SSC, you will find lots of friends here 24-7. So anytime you need help or just to ask a question there is someone always here. I'm so happy that you have made the decision to make your life better. I am so sorry about your home, I can't imagine loosing all the memories of my home. Stay strong... I can identify with you, I have a sister that is home bound, she get out very little. She smoked for probably 60 years, until her health became so bad, she has congestive heart failure, diabetic, emphysema, and degenerative disc disease. She is on full time oxygen. She also uses a walker. I know that she gets lonley because she was such an out going person. She was one of the reasons I quit smoking because everyone of the diseases except diabeties is smoke related. When I first started noticing her go down hill and not being able to do thing that normal people do I didn't want that to happen to me. I want to stay independent as long as I possible can. My sister has been quit for almost 2 years now, but the damage was so bad she will never be any better. But if she had not quit I don't think I would still have her around. She is one of my best cheer-leaders... I would love to be your Buddy, I have tried many times to download the IM, I get it downloaded and then it won't install, the message comes up saying, there has been an error. So I just gave up. I am always on the site and I will watch for you...So when you hit those hard days all you have to do is post....Stay strong and God bless... Blessings sent your way, SUNSHINE My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 108 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,851 Amount Saved: $378 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 15 Mins: 53 Seconds: 59
