Good decision about tossing the cigs, Fram. Some people do well by going nose to nose with their demon and literally staring it down. But it's a very risky maneuver and should only be used if other methods (i.e. avoidance) don't work. It only takes a moment of weakness when they are readily available to blow a quit. Go to Vegas and have fun. Make sure, though, that you tell your non-smoking friends and ask for their support. Always stay near at least one. This addiction resides in the primitive, irrational part of the brain and sometimes it does take control. Just be on guard and have back-up. Fram, Welcome to our support community and please take a look around. Our online support group is amazing and can really make a difference. our program is great for preparation which is essential to a successful quit. Your family will take notice soon enough :) Protect your quit at all costs and know that we are always here. Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
