104 days nicotine free

Thanks K. You too! Congratulations on your quit too... I've found that meditation works well with the emotional roller coaster... I've bought a couple guided cd's. They work wonders. That, and I try to read every think I can find on the negative effects of tobacco... It keeps me focused on the goal. Good luck with your quit, Peace Jackey My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/22/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 105 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,118 Amount Saved: $438.9 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 9 Mins: 40 Seconds: 21

Hey, as long as your not smoking, I'd say you're not cheating... And yeah... I had to change gas stations too... I started driving 10 miles out of the way to go by a Costco... so I *couldn't* be tempted. Whatever works, right? Cigarettes Not Smoked

So, I've stopped smoking again... I started smoking at 13 and am 35 now. Over the past 10 years, I've attempted to stop smoking 7 or 8 times, each time using a Nicotine Replacement Therapy. My longest quit using an NRT was 58 days. On December 22nd, 2005, I decided to go one day without a cigarette, in the hopes that I could be smoke free by my 35th birthday on January 22nd. As of now, I'm 104 days nicotine free... I have my up days and my down days, but with each day, the craving keeps getting smaller and smaller. I'm just here looking for support as I continue this roller coaster. Every day I tell myself that statistically someone dies from a tobacco related illness every 8 seconds, and I don't want to be one of those casualties. So, I guess, I'm here to rant, seek support and friends. Wishing you all peace, Jackey My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/22/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 104 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,093 Amount Saved: $434.72 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 5 Mins: 19 Seconds: 59

Jackey - congratulations on an awesome success. you are definitely an inspiration and something i needed to hear tonight! yes,it may be hard at times, with many ups and many downs, but in the end, it is the only way. mind over matter - i'd rather be alive and annoyed/irritated/emotionally confused at times, then sick or dead. keep up the good work! k My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 17 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 323 Amount Saved: $89.25 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 9 Mins: 11 Seconds: 47

Well done Jackey, 100 days is such a massive milestone that seems an impossibility when we start. You are proof that with dedication it can be done. Doesn't it feel good!!
