Hi Duckie, We are here for you and way look forward to when we can also support your continued quit. Also, we are to support our "quit comrade" though this (and other) uncertain time that can affect the no smoking quest and look forward to hearing your news that all is well. We are here, Joonie

Hey ducky, sorry your not feeling well. I totally understand the stress. It can be hard to learn how to deal with some situations without smoking. I am proof of that. Learn from it, regroup and get back in here as soon as your ready. I will be watching for you. Keep reading the threads at this site, they are truly an inspiration. No one on this site will hold it against you because your slipped. You just have to forgive yourself and move forward. Quitting is hard but it is doable. So Ducks, just know, as others have said, the cigarettes don't make anything better. You are caught up in the addiction again. Get rid of them and go for a walk, take a bath....do something healthy. Good luck with your health issues! Duckie... Get a hold of yourself. You have let the junkie take over. You smoking is not going to make your appointment come quicker. You smoking is not going to make any health condition you may have better. You smoking is not going to settle your nerves. Those are all lies that you are allowing yourself to believe. You are going to have a scan to rule out the fact that nothing else is wrong with you. People have scans every day and a lot of them don't smoke to get trough them. When we quit smoking, life goes on full of ups and downs. The world doesn't stop. You are here posting so you are obviously looking for something even if it is a subconscious act. Get rid of the cigarettes, get back on your quit, take a warm bath, calm down and breathe. You are fine. If it were anything serious they would have done the scan immediately, not wait a couple of weeks. I hope you (the non-smoker) will take control again and get rid of the junkie thinking. You are allowing yourself to panic as an excuse to give in to the addiction. We are all addicts and we are all good at it. Take control of the addict. You are stronger than that. Hang in there Duckie. When your desire to quit outweights your desire to smoke, you will quit and we will be here. Hi, Duckie. Sorry to hear about your slip. No need for me to beat you up. You're probably doing a pretty good job of that yourself. Several years ago I had a sinus infection for a few weeks. This was unusual since mine only last a week at the most. For some reason, the Biaxin (best stuff ever made) had no effect. Toward the end, I developed a pain on the right side of my face that started about the jaw joint and extended down into the cheek and the roots of the teeth on the right side. The pain in the teeth would move around, sometimes top, sometimes bottom, various teeth. The doctor suspected the infection had somehow gotten into the main nerve to the jaw and changed antibiotics to a penicillan derivitive. Whap! It was over in a couple of days. I think you're letting your imagination run away with you, Duckie, and this has allowed the addiction to regain control. There is nothing you can do about what is already done....except to learn from it. Regroup and start again as soon as you can. I know you're feeling stressed and anxious...but you will take longer to heal if you are smoking. Why not try to look at this as the perfect opportunity. You already feel lousy from being sick. why not get the worst of the withdrawals / cravings out of the way at the same time? No matter what...stay close to this site. No matter when...we'll be here. Duckie, We are not here to judge! Did smoking make any of this go away? I assume you are still worried and stressed? Take your time and know that we are always here. You can jump back in there and we can help. Our thoughts are with you, Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
