Shawn, Great job not giving in. One of the reasons I quit smoking was for my daughter. She had been on me for quite a long time to quit smoking. So when I have a tough time I think about how not smoking is being a positive role model for her. So when you have a rough monent think about how smoking affects your kids. It works for me. Shawn - the answer to your question is ... NOPE. Never found a good reason to explain to my kids. Just told them to say NOPE - Not One Puff Ever, and you will NEVER have to worrry about quitting!! It's true, just say no to drugs. Good for you, Shawn. We're proud of you, too. Arguement with the ex. One more trigger gotten past smoke-free. One more notch in your handle. One more lump on Ol' Nic's noggin. Keep up the good quit, Shawn. Had a great weekend, very proud of myself, no smokes. Was even at the beach relaxing with friends and had a couple of mixed drinks. But last night got into a huge blow up on the phone with my ex wife over my children. I have custody of them and now after two years she wants to be a concerned parent! AAAARRRRGGGGHHH! Im so glad I didn't have cigarettes in the house or they would have gotten smoked, filter and all! I stayed strong, so im very proud of myself. I'll just worry about one monkey on my back at a time. Want to say thanks for everyones posts, they really keep me going.

My kids are great. How can you justify to your kids why you smoke? I know each time my kids have questioned me about it i've felt so guilty trying to find an excuse. Never did find one. Did anybody find one that you and them could buy?
