Everyone is right. The first 3 days are the toughest. Do drink lots of water. Take it one minute at a time. Think I got thru this hour, now work on the next hour. Spend time here and read and post if you need help. I sucked on cinnamon sticks. They are cool because they are hollow.
Stay Strong!!

Hello. The first 3 days are the hardest. We've all gone through it and it will pass. Just take it one hour at a time and one day at a time. Read and post often that should help pass the time.

Use the commit if it helps. Drink alot of water with a straw that helps the hand mouth thing and try sucking on some hard candy I have 5 different sugar free bags of hard candy on my desk Werthers works best for me. Be strong and jsut remember how much better you'll feel everyday from not smoking. STAY STRONG!

I'm sucking on my coffee straw right now. It keeps me sane at work. Those first three days are rough. Keep occupied. Don't sit around and watch TV or ponder smoking. Get busy. Walk, sing, get something done that you've been putting off for a long time. Re-organize something. Clean your car. ANYTHING! Stay Strong.

smoke,
Use more than one coping mechanism and keep yourself occupied. Go for a walk, do some stretches or clean the house. Do what it takes and protect that quit!
Keep Strong,
Josie
