Genie, Welcome to the site and congratulations on becoming an ex-smoker! It is great to hear that you are ready to quit! The question is are you prepared? Please take advantage of our free Online Treatment Program in your glove compartment as you log into our site. This program will first help you determine if youre ready to quit. If youve already quit and are looking for some help, this program is for you. Although the program will first assess if youre ready to quit the exercises at the beginning of the program will help remind you of the reasons why you quit in the first place. Dont get frustrated - ex-smokers have told us that the exercises at the beginning of the program gave them confidence and helped them reaffirm their personal commitment to remain smoke free. The exercises in this program are divided into six major milestones. Think of each milestone as a destination youre trying to reach. After you complete the exercises in each milestone, your car will progress along the road map located at the bottom left-hand side of the screen. The best thing about this program is that it is free and you dont have to purchase any products to use this program. We hope that we have guided you in the right direction today! Please feel free to contact our support department in our feedback section found at the bottom of this page if you continue to have any questions or concerns. Or, please continue to join us here at our online support group! We wish you all the best and look forward to helping you achieve your goals! Melanie ___________________ The SSC Support Team

Trish, The decision to quit smoking in itself is such a huge step in the right direction. It is important when deciding to quit, that we quit for the right reasons and that we truly feel we are ready to quit smoking. Honesty with one self is key to a successful quit. Be true to yourself and your endeavor to quit smoking and you will successfully succeed. If you have not, please take advantage of our free quit program as you access your glove compartment when logging on to our site. This program will help you through each step of the quitting process. Remember the SSC Support Team is always here to help you with your quit. Please keep us posted. Take Care, Melanie ______________________ The SSC Support Team

Thanks Polly - Its the number of Smoke Free Days like yours that gives us newbie quiters the incentive to do it. This discussion board is one of the best that I have found and really is full of encouragement.

Hi, Second day into my quit program, and feeling okay except for terrible headache all day. Actually stopped last month and managed 2 weeks until I caved in due to pressure of personal circumstances. But with the encouragement of my daughter and all the posts that I have read here (been on looking for quite some time now) I am at the stage where enough is enough of the stinking habit. So here goes.................... And by the way incase one of the helpers about - my password aint been sent to my email address as yet? Been on for a while too :confuse: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/27/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 11 Amount Saved: 2.4 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 2 Mins: 59 Seconds: 51
