Ron, I don't have much to say that others haven't already said. However I will add this. Right now, in the place where you are at, I don't think you can see any light beyond your misery. And I know from my own experience that when you are deep in that state, it's really, really hard to find any comfort in this thing you've started. I had times during my early quit (meaning the first month or so) that I just could pull my car over to the side of the road and sob. I had panic attacks, anger attacks, hyper attacks, shakes and crazies like you wouldn't believe. I finally went to a counselor who helped me find the place inside of me where I could find comfort.
There's an Eric Clapton song called "Running on Faith." That's what I am asking you to do. If you can't see the light right now, please have faith that it is there. It is available to you, just like it is there for all of us. You may not see it or feel it right now, but if you can just hang on and run on faith for a bit, it will come to you.
Rusty :)
