Igray,
I went to a live concert on day 5 where everyone was smoking around me. Not only that, I went with my roommate at the time who smoked. I was fine that time but a different concert I went to, I wasn't fine and ended up caving. They gave 3 packs of free cigarettes away to anyone who wanted them and so I went and got my packs and gave 2 to my roommate at the time and kept one for myself. BIG MISTAKE!!!! And at that point, I was 2 months into my quit.
Concerts can be a HUGE trigger... they are for me too, so I completely understand where you are coming from. So, if you decide to go, do NOT drink much, take a few inspirational posts with you and make sure you have your coping mechanisms ready when you go... gum, hard candy, etc... have plenty of ammunition. And if you think that you might smoke... you know, you're kinda thinking that maybe one won't hurt and this is a special occasion and you want to enjoy it and don't think you can without a cigarette... DON'T GO!!!!!!!! It's NOT worth your quit! Better safe than sorry!
Crave the Quit!
