I stopped today again, I have bronchitis and I'm taking advantage of this to stop. Is this sick? Anyway, back again and feeling physically gross with wheezing and grotesque stuff that I am coughin up. Normal? Welcome joeygee! :) Good for you for taking advantage of your situation! I do recommend completing the tools on the left. They will help you succeed. Your desire to not smoke must outweigh your desire to smoke. If this is true, then hop on!! I would definately call the Dr on your cough, if you haven't already done so. I assume your cough & the icky stuff coming up is due from the bronchitis. Several people have coughed up some gross stuff too, but I'm not sure that happened immediatly when they quit. Congrats on your decision! You are on your way to a new life!! Good luck! Be prepared, read material on quitting, know what to expect and know how you're going to handle it. Set short-term goals as part of your long-term plan to quit. It'll get easier and easier, but expect this to be difficult. You can do it! Joeygee, Anytime you decide to stop is a good time. It's when you stop trying that is sick. Use this time to in your quit to take care of yourself and as you start to feel better then take it slow but start walking and breathing deep. Drink lots of water and have other devices to help you through any tough times. Like straws, vegtables, sunflower seeds, fruits, what ever it takes to help you. Come here often and read as much as you can on the new and the old post. There is much wisdom in all of them. And just as you feel that you are going through something that you arn't sure about you will find a post of someone else going through the same thing. Your not alone ^i^ Lana My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/9/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 99 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,992 Amount Saved: $495 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 13 Mins: 34 Seconds: 41
