Hello everyone! This is my 4th day quit. I stumbled across this website yesterday, and I love it! I only wish I had found it before I quit! Oh, well -- better late than never!
My husband and I quit together on Sunday, March 5th. We both have been smoking over 1 pack a day for 18-20 years! We have tried to quit 2 other times, but to no avail.
This time we went to a hypnosis seminar. It only cost $40, and they had a money back guarentee. So how could we lose??!! Well, needless to say, I walked out of there, and for the first time I could smell an ashtray from about 5 feet away. It was so gross. I didnt think that I would have my last cig. I didnt get to say "good-bye".
Well, I did okay within the first 3 hours. Then panic set in. But we stuck it out. The first whole day was intense. Although I felt as if I had one long, continuous craving, I relaxed, listened to cd's, and took a long nap. Yesterday was a little easier, and today has been a breeze, so far.
My cravings have lessened alot, but I get these panic attacks quite often. Has anyone else gotten these? I start to freak out when something like it is time to walk my kids to school. How will I do it without smoking my cig first, then going on to school???!!! The panic doesnt last long, but I get it every time I need to do something!
When will that part end???
Thank you for listening.
