Stopping forever this time.

Hi everybody. I have smoked for 6 years and have tried numerous times to quit. The last attempt was quite good: 5 months! Then one day I thought I could smoke just one. Big big mistake... I am on day 5 and I'm feeling very good. I'm using nicorette gum. I feel as if a dark cloud has lifted away from me. But I know from previous experience that it's not always easy and that is why I am so glad that I found this site. I feel that the association with other quitters might be vital in getting through this especially if most of your friends are smokers. Strongs to everyone! :)

Anna, Welcome to our support community and please take the time to look around. 5 Days is great and you will see a difference with support and knowledge. Make a list of coping mechanisms and keep it by your side! This will help in those tough times and really keep your quit. Post often and let us know how we can help. Keep Strong, Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
