Hi superwoman, My name is Fran and known as morningglory I too have quit for three full days and now this is my fourth day. I am so glad your not having a hard time. I on the other hand am having a hard time. The urges are very strong and I scare my self because I dont know how long I will be able to fight these urges. I know how bad cigarettes are for you but I feel like I lost my best friend. How sad is that? A friend that will only kill me in the long run. I am very happy for you and keep up the good work and I will try to do the same. Hi Superwoman- How are you today? Seems like everyday does get a little easier. Yes, I am having trouble sleeping through the night. I guess I am a little reluctant to remove the patch at night because the morning cig. was one of my favorite. It is a great idea and I am glad you are able to do it. Maybe in a week or so I will try it too. Stay strong with those convictions..I read (several times) here that a craving only lasts as long as 3 minutes..We can do anything for 3 minutes!! One thing I am doing..(don't laugh), is placing a large rubberband around my wrist. If a craving becomes very strong, I just flick the band on my wrist. It is to remind me that I have the power to change my thought process. Kinda strange but it seem to help some and it can't hurt, well except my wrist :) Enjoy the day...Sun is shining here (Indy) and that helps!! Kelli

Hi Superwoman- I am on my third day. The first and second days were rough for me. Today (so far) seems to be better. I started with the gum and I couldn't stand the taste. I switched to the patch and it does make a difference. My son (we quit together) is doing well also. He isn't using anything. I too, can use some support, and I am happy to give it in return. Wow, you really are a superwoman! 8 days is impressive and you should be proud of yourself. You will find odd days where things seem to get harder again, all I can say is that they do not last and eventually days like this are very few and far between. The most important thing is to have the right attitude and determination and you seem to have that in abundance. Superwoman, Elle, and Kel....there's no place for support like the SSC. All of us have been through everything that you're experiencing and we can help you. Be sure to work the program tools over on the left and read and post often. It is so worth it to battle through the first few days...you will see a light at the end of the tunnel.
