Oops, I forgot, I also had the tenseness. I used to feel myself just clenching and still do abit. At my 1 month anniversary I treated me to a massage, come to think of it I may need another one of them :8|: My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/21/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 316 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,327 Amount Saved: $2370 Life Gained: Days: 41 Hrs: 8 Mins: 48 Seconds: 43

Sian, sometimes quitting smoking brings on other issues...tension, anxiety, etc. You might try some deep relaxation, meditation, stretching, etc. I found some tapes that were made for just laying on the floor and relaxing all your muscles. If that doesn't help, you might check with your doctor. Lana, 3galeh is right. Water will help flush that salt, but try to avoid eating too much salt and drinking too much soda if possible. Lots of foods you buy have salt in them too. Wendy, you deserve a massage as a reward for more than 6,000 cigarettes not smoked! Lana, The most common questions when quitting smoking is dealing with withdrawal symptoms. Each smoker has different withdrawal symptoms indeed yours will be unique! Although they may be unpleasant, they do pass. When you experience withdrawal symptoms, remind yourself that each symptom is a sign of recovery. Your body is in the process of healing itself. Think of withdrawal symptoms as growing pains. If a symptom lasts longer than expected, contact your doctor to rule out anything medical. Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
