Sunshine - I just smile writing your log on name! I live on St. Simons Island, GA which is a small island off the coast of South Georgia - 80 miles south of Savannah, GA and about 60 miles north of Jacksonville, FL. I love to work in the yard myself - those weeds are a killer! Lucky for me I don't have as much yard as you do! My little corner of the world is small but I do love those flowers. And the best thing is that it is now full of CLEAN AIR! because I don't smoke anymore...anyway I am rambling as well. Thanks for the response and once again You're Awesome! IWIN, Thank you for your support, we all need each other. The way that you are feeling is just the way I feel. I think that it is I put on my happy face to go out and just as soon as I walk back through my door it is gone. It feels so good to laugh and have a good time with friends but they know I'm not the same at home. I'm so blessed to have so many supportive friends and family, especially the ones on SSC. Congratulations on you 87 day quit that is awesome. Hold on tight and protect it with all you have. Blessings an love sent your way..... :) SUNSHINE My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 92 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,564 Amount Saved: $322 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 5 Mins: 43 Seconds: 31

Hello, I was just sitting hear reading all the messages and something just came to my mind. As I have already told you I went out tonight not really wanting to go. I just realized how much it has helped me being with the people I love and after awhile joining in with them talking and laughing about things that happened years ago. LAUGHTER IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL, WE SHOULD TRY IT MORE OFTEN. Hello Everyone, I'm back for the party have taken off my clothes and put them in the washer, jumped in the shower. I smelled of smoke all over. But I am SMOKEFREE. I thought it might be tough but it was really easy. Everyone was asking how many days and when I told them 90 everyone started clapping their hands and lots of hugs. You would have thought the party was for me. This was my first big test. Out of 25 people there I was the only one NOT SMOKING, but when I left I smelled as if I was a smoker. I will probably have to air out the car tomorrow. Thanks for all of your the vibes and support, and Rusty the Dr just changed my medication 6 weeks ago. So I'm thinking it's not the one for me. A change of scenery sounds like a good idea and have been thinking along those lines. I have friends in FL who have been wanting me to come and visit, might be a good time to go. Jerlasvegas, 3 days is awesome just keep on fighting and I will be watching you grow. Depression is the pits. Hope you are still being active, that is the main thing for me just keep on pushing. Congratulations to all of you on your awesome quit's. Some of you are asking now what Sunshine? Well I'm trying to get ready to go to the beach. I can already smell that salty air. Redrosie don't you forget my swimsuit and sandles. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and eat that wonderful food and enjoying swimming in the ocean and riding the waves. All of you will have to watch me and please don't let me drown after I have fought so hard to get here(ha). This 3 month celebration has been more that I had expected it has given me assurance that I do have control over what I have choosen too do. HealerWithIn, you made things so clear for me I thought I was the only one that had this feeling of shut-down. I would love to communicate with you but I can not download the messenger. I must be doing something wrong, I did everything in the directions and at one time I did get to a download and it said it would take 13 hrs to download with dile-up which I have. I guess that I would have to have the IM before I could email you, is that right? Thank you Melanie and Casey for all of your support, I don't know what I would have done this past week if I could not come to SSC and read. You are wonderful. ItsIronic, depression is depression no matter what the cause, and I am so happy that you are in lots of SUNSHINE. That really helps, congratulations on your great quit and it won't be long before you will be at the beach with all the rest of us. I know that you see the beach everyday but this is a different kind of beach. I look forward to seeing you there. You stay strong and thank you for your support. Jackey, you are already at the beach. Wow what wonderful 108 days, now that is something to be proud of. Joyfulspirit, love that name. And you are right some days are better than others. And I am so proud of you and just look at those 410 days that is a lot of experience. And I am sure you have helped so many on their journey. Thank you for all of your support. Lashes, thank you and you are right we need too go through our sorrows or what ever it is so we can come out on the other side. And smoking is not going to dull any pain or thought. Hang tight to your journey and I will be watching for your posts. Rusty, the gal I respect sooooo much and just look at those stats, I know that I can't be Mi

Island Girl, Thank you for the compliment, if I can help in a small way that means so much to me. Congratulations on your big 48 days that is HUGE!!! Somedays are harder than others, so I try to take one day at a time and some days are all SUNSHINE. If I am haveing a really bad day and know that I can handle it myself, with some deep breathing, ice water, walking on the treadmill, or take a walk, weather premitting. But if I know I can't handle it that is when I post. Well Spring is trying it's darnest to come but it might be in the 70's today and tomorrow in the 40's. But it won't be long befor I can get out in my yard and start cleaning up after winter. I have 4 acres of lawn, and keeps me really busy for 7 months out of the year. I am so blessed, my son comes and does all the mowing and trimming, then I am left with all the weed pulling out of the flower bed, and cleaning the water garden. Do you live in FL? I have a grandson living in Clearwater. I haven't been to see him this year. I should have went in Jan, he comes to see me two or three times a year. I live in the Mt's of Virginia and it is beautiful here. I think I am rambling so you have a wonderful smoke-free day!!
