Babs,
I really feel for you. I too have to put my anger in check. I also, well just recently, developed resentment. My hubby went back to smoking, and I was angry. That has turned into resentment. He will not listen to me when I talk about smoking. He thinks I am nagging at him when I tell him to shut the garage door because I can smell the ashtray. He thinks I am on his a$$ when I walk into our bedroom after him and get a huge wiff on ashtray, and my natural reflex is to gag. I try to hide it, but it is hard when I gag and run out of the room holding my mouth!!!
Oh, I had to vent that. Sorry.
Anyhow, remember that it is nobody elses fault that we quit. They should not be the people we take it out on because we no longer know how to deal. Okay, but it is not easy. You have to vow to yourself that you will not take it out on your loved ones.
Now sticking up for yourself is different. Especially when you feel that you are being dumped on. But keep it clean.
Remember to breathe. Listen to a relaxing CD when you feel uptight and need to explode!
Oh, and one more thing. Babs, I think you need to do something special for yourself. You deserve it. You have a lot of stuff going on and I think you have forgotten about you. Reward yourself with something, but only for YOU. You are doing GREAT!!!
