Starting Over Again

Thank you for all your support. I'll be going to the gym today and then food shopping. Being home all day doesn't help my depression. I have to find a new routine as non smoker. It doesn't help that I live with to other smokers. I live in New Jersey and they just passed a law no smoking in public places. So hopefully that should help me. I need to find non-smoking friends! I even went to bingo a few weeks ago and had to go outside to smoke! How bad is that! I know what to do its just a matter of getting up and doing it!

Thank you for alll your support. Its been really hard the past couple of days. I still don't know what to do about work. I guess thats part of my problem. I guess I have to take small steps. The choice is mine and only mine. I have a really good feeling that I can go somewhere and get help. I feel like apart of my life is gone. Now that I'm not smoking anymore. The only problem now is I have so much time on my hands how do you keep from smoking? My routine is gone! Help!

Here I am again. I've tried many times to quit. I'm under alot of pressure because I'm out of work. My doctor suggested not to quit because of the added stress. I'm out of work because of depression. I'm using the patch because I don't want to take anymore pills. This is my chocie and not my doctors or anyone else. Depression really hurts everyone around you. Its going to be hard not smoking. But the only thing I seem to be doing is smoking and thinking. And chain smoking! I want to stop really bad. I guess the only thing to do is to but one foot in front of the other and keep trying!

Lucy, Take the time to prepare! No time is the right time and you can succeed regardless! Your right, take this day by day and step by step. Know that we are always here to support and advice. Work together with your doctor and come up with a plan that is right for you. Post often and let us know how we can help. Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
