I have had to be at work now for a couple of days and the coping has been tough. I will occasionally crave, however there are more unsettling aspects to this. My mouth is incredialbly sore and raw. I am not sleeping great and that has me on edge. I get very light headed and know that I need to take a break breath and just let go. My stomach has been upset and there are a whole litany of other nasty bits mostly to do with my aging body. The most amazing thing though is that I come to this site and read and read and read. There is so much here to inspire, scare and simply create motivation. Thanks to all of you for all that you share. The stories, the personality and strength of each person who posts here provides another moment where I can get away from the desire to cave. It is in your strength that I find my strength so THANKS! Getting on to a week. Soon, Soon, Soon. and each day really does get a little better. :p N.O.P.E. is N.O.P.E. is N.O.P.E.!!!!!! hooray! Blessings to you all! Great going Phillip, don't look on the symptoms as bad things but rather than a recovery process and therfore, in a strange kinda way, these are feelings that should be welcomed. :8o: Keep at it my friend, we can kick this habit together. Hey Phillip ! You really are doing great! And you are right.. you are really hitting on the symptoms.. proves you are quitting right.. lol It will get easier with ups and downs.. Hell week is almost over and you are going to make it !! Don't forget to take some aids with you for those unexpected cravings.. hard candy.. peanuts.. suckers.. wahtever you like.. Don't think about how you will feel when you get to work.. just plunge in and remember.. whatever happens it can't hurt it.. it will only make you that much further away from this addiction. Something just occurred to me.. Riverman Are you eating well ? Sometimes we get all caught up in quitting that we forget to pamper our changing bodies with good food.. WATER !! WATER !! WATER !! Try watching the coffee if you are a drinker.. it has double the effect on you now that you have quit !! Try some soup.. canned soup is fine.. it will help your body ..."feel well" Pamper yourself.. STRESS FREE WEEKEND !! We are here .. hang tuff ! Hi RiverdaleMan, It's great to hear you're toughing out the hard bits. You sure are right about all the wild and wacky changes going on in your body. Like Smoggone says, they will pass. It is just your body adjusting to all it's new energy, oxygen and yes even gas. lol(See DaveP post, if you haven't already.) Boy, we sound like Power Plants don't we? I guess we kinda are. We Got The Power!!! Hang in there Phillip, you're doing great!
