At some time during my first or second week, I was stopped in the hall by one of out customer service people who had a question about a product line. My answer started just fine for a few words, then the order got jumbled and some words that had nothing to do with my answer were thrown in. The more I tried to gain control over my mouth the worse it got. The look on her face was priceless, like I was transforming into something weird right before her eyes. :8o:
Finally I just quit talking, took a deep breath, and told her I had recently quit smoking and this brain-mouth disconnect was a side effect. Found out she'd quit a few years ago and understood completely. I e-mailed her the answer. :)
Also got real clumsy, slow, forgetful, and a bit lost.
It gets better, kitty.
