So what happened Sheller? What did you do? We are all hoping you made it through that tough patch. Smoggone suggested NRT's; I would also suggested Zyban or something similar. It's nice to have a little help along the way. Best wishes to you! Sheller, Like everyone said, smoking won't make anything better. So, you have 2 choices: 1. Stay quit and be proud of your accomplishment. Look back on this 1 year, 5 years, 10 years down the line and say, "I stayed quit, DESPITE all of the things going on in my life at the time! If I can do that, I can do ANYTHING!!!!!" and be proud of yourself for the wonderful things that you have accomplished in your life! You can choose to LIVE with more money in your pocket and can breathe and feel good about yourself. 2. Go back to smoking and be mad at yourself for it. Have to deal with the guilt and depression that comes from losing a quit. I too lost a 4 month quit, so I know how that feels. AND, you will either have to quit later on, or hear the doctor tell you that your life is being shortened because of this horrible addiction. Choose #1!!! Choose LIFE! Crave the Quit! I'm tired. I'm tired of fighting and having to deal with all the craziness in my family. My mother died in November. My father in law who is a father to me, just was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. My husband's aunt has been given 4 months to live. This is not fun. I just need some help not buying a pack. It feels like, if I just started again that would be one less thing on my plate. Can anyone say "junkie talk". Just needed to air this and get some support. Sheller, Life can suck at times, but sucking on a cigarette won't make it any better. You know that. Everyone here knows that. Smoking is the great lie.. the grand illusion. Don't buy into that b.s. Your life, at some point, will even itself out.... without smoking. Hang in there Sheller and don't view qutting as denying yourself a smoke, you have made a very, very smart CHOICE! That is the one very positive thing in your life right now... don't throw it away! Be Strong. Be Smart. Hi Sheller :) Good 4u for coming in here and posting. Wow you have alot of life to deal with right now! Lot's of sad stuff goin on :( Do what non-smokers do in this situation and cry. Seriously let yourself cry and you'll feel so much better afterwards. Smoking won't make anything going on go away. But it could and probably in time will give u cancer too and then others will have to be sad 4u like u are feeling now for others. I learned a saying in AA and I don't mean this in a bad way or to hurt your feelings...just something to ponder,,,poor me poor me, pour me another drink. Hang in there, don't let yourself be a victim :( Take it 1 day at a time :) Watch a funny movie, think of what u have to be grateful for, go outside & breath some fresh air and be happy that you've made a gr8 decision to quit smoking and lengthen your own life :) Be proud of yourself :) No matter what don't lite up... Keep on keepin on... Sheller, The only thing I will say is that you are at 21 days quit, and this is a hard time for most people. The first flush and adrenalin of trying has died down a bit and it all gets a bit samey, boring, whatever. This is the time to work really hard at staying positive and focusing on the reasons you originally quit. I appreciate that this is very hard when life beats you up with all these family issues. These issues will still be there whether you smoke or not!!! Having a cigarette will simply make you feel guilty on top of everything else. Don't do it to yourself. You are worth so much more. NO QUITTING IS NOT FUN!!! IT"S DAMN HARD WORK!!! It's a war... YOU -V- THE JUNKIE!! My money is on you!!! WHATEVER it takes, just don't smoke!!! Lolly. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/25/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 423 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 14,828 Amount Saved: 2115 Life Gained: Days: 58 Hrs: 22 Mins: 48 Seconds: 11

oh...BIG junkie talk......ask yourself how smoking could possibly help ANY of the things you listed? I can tell you that it will ADD to the stress already on your plate.....cause WITH it you have to take the time to always satisfy that junky. You are young to quitting and you would be having these questions no matter what was going on around you.....don't be fooled by the addiction that smoking is going to HELP this situation. You just hang tough.....this is a 'tie and knot and hang on' time. Come here for a daily dose of support and hugs.....when it closes in on you, imagine all of us there....reaching out and supporting you....cause we are.
