TimeToDoIt, Welcome to the site and congratulations on becoming an ex-smoker! It is great to hear that you are ready to quit! The question is are you prepared? Please take advantage of our free Online Treatment Program in your glove compartment as you log into our site. This program will first help you determine if youre ready to quit. If youve already quit and are looking for some help, this program is for you. Although the program will first assess if youre ready to quit the exercises at the beginning of the program will help remind you of the reasons why you quit in the first place. Dont get frustrated - ex-smokers have told us that the exercises at the beginning of the program gave them confidence and helped them reaffirm their personal commitment to remain smoke free. The exercises in this program are divided into six major milestones. Think of each milestone as a destination youre trying to reach. After you complete the exercises in each milestone, your car will progress along the road map located at the bottom left-hand side of the screen. The best thing about this program is that it is free and you dont have to purchase any products to use this program. We hope that we have guided you in the right direction today! Please feel free to contact our support department in our feedback section found at the bottom of this page if you continue to have any questions or concerns. Or, please continue to join us here at our online support group! We wish you all the best and look forward to helping you achieve your goals! Melanie _______________________ The SSC Support Team

Hi, I just joined today. I'm very excited. It's fantastic that there are these support systems out here. I just went on the Habitrol patch today, I am on wellbutrin(for the past 10 days) and today is my quit day! All my cigarettes are gone, all lighters out the window, all ashtrays in the trash. I have been running the past week to have a clear measure of how my health is improving over time as I quit smoking. Hopefully, seeing my runs becoming more efficient as I go longer without smoking will help me stay off cigs for good. So that's my story... I'd love to hear from people who are in the (difficult) boat as me...so drop by and say hi! Take care

Good to hear your quitting today! This is an excellent site for us, I don't know if I could be sucessful without it. I'm here quite often. I did the Nic gum for 6 days, now without any help. Were all pulling for ya! Sounds like a plan! Lots of support in this place. It's really helped me, and that's saying something. It's only 33 days for me, but I can absolutely say it is so worth it. Hi TimeToDoIt. Welcome to SSC and congrats on deciding to quit. I used the patch to quit and it helped me a ton to get over the "habit" part of smoking. I have now been off the patch for a little over a week. I havent really had a craving since. Be strong and you can do it. Best of luck. Time.........welcome aboard the "quit ship" Sounds like you are on track for a successful quit. I did the patch and it worked great - you will notice a big difference in your stamina as you continue to run and being a non-smoker. I walk a lot and am still amazed, even after 3 months, of the HUGE difference in my breathing and distance. glad to have you here..........congrats on the decision to quit!
