Hi Pyromade, your story certainly gave me a little hope-presently there are more problems that I could ever imagine. What happened to me. When people have an other idea of me - i know this is completly wrong now. What is willpower at all? How long is it going on that your mind is completly on smoking, even when you phisically not smoking? Is it going ever? Why is it better not to smoke, but constantly thinking of smoking? (I know, I just also do not know:) Is confusion ever goes? How can you develop some commitment, which is lasting? Parola

Hi Pyro I read your whole story (even copied and pasted it to Word). Liked the idea of the coke instead of coffee in the AM. That will work just as well for my morning kick-start. You did it John - way to go. Got a whole year in now. Thanks for the story with the happy ending. Gives me support and will re-read when I'm feeling sorry for myself of just need a boost. Smokes are really addictive and hard to overcome. But it can be done! Thanks for the inspiration. Annie

I read the "fine print" fully before I signed on to this site. Since this is the first site I have ever been a part of and the first time I have participated in an on-line chat forum I was extremely cautious as to how my privacy was being affected. I know that there is also a business end to this site, but my "business" on this site is to have a quit that I will have and keep forever. So far this site has worked great for me and if I am part of "anonymous clinical data", then that is the fee that I will pay. Hi pyromate, I hear your frustration but I think that e-mail addresses are deleted for our own protection. At any given time there can be hundreds of people on this site. You probably don't want them all to have this info. When people want to exchange e-mails they go to the I.M. and add this person to their list. Once there you can have a private conversation. So please feel you can still answer peoples posts. Hello Smokeless Friends, Thanks for the kind words about my story. It feels good to see that it still lurks about on the threads. Hope this tale of terror helps to motivate and give courage to those of you caught in the death grip of nicotene and battling for your lives. I am still smoke free...I survived and won the fight...YOU CAN TOO! John

Hi Annie, I worked hard on the story and 1000 times harder when I quit smoking. Very glad to hear that my story helped you. That is my reward for the trouble. Thanks so much for letting me know I have made a difference in your effort. Stay strong and I know you can win!
