QuitorDie: Glad your winning so far, keep up your strength, it's a massive rollercoaster ride through & through. I'm still hitting my highs and lows to this day. QuitOrDie....you are almost through Hell week. It's the worst week of quitting. Hang in there. We get over each hurdle one at a time. You almost bought a pack of smokes today but you didn't. That's all that matters. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done. Each time you get through a situation of not smoking makes you that much stronger for the next. Quitting can be a rollercoaster ride. You just have to hang on tight and get over the rough spots. Great Job! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 193 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,871 Amount Saved: $675.5 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 1 Mins: 25 Seconds: 56

Nobody ever said quitting was easy (well actually, Mark Twain did... he said, "Quitting is easy. I've done it thousands of times." Sorry if I mis-quoted). If quitting were easy, none of us would need this site. But like most things that are difficult, they are SOOOOOOO worth it! And quitting is most definitely worth it! Don't give in! Don't give up! You ALMOST caved, but you didn't! Therefore, that's an accomplishment to be proud of... the fact that you were faced with a tempting situation and made it through. Just hang on and don't give up! Crave the Quit! Quit or Die, Hang in there. Some days are harder than others, but the fact of the matter is that overall, it WILL get easier over time. Suck on those tootsie roll suckers like there's no tomorrow and just hold on tight! This is a bumpy ride, but you're going to make it. You've done very well so far... 5 days! That's great! Go out and reward yourself for 5 hard-earned days! You deserve it! Don't give up, k? Crave the Quit! Congratulations on your victory and 5 days quit, QuitOrDie. It is hard, probably one of the hardest things you'll ever do. If it was easy, then there'd be no Nicorette, no Commit, no patches, no SSC, and all the tobacco companies would be out of business, or at least hurting really bad. :eg: Hang in there, QuitOrDie. It does get better. Make sure you reward yourself. Rewards are very important to the quit. You won a battle, you deserve a reward. Now I'm beginning to crave ---- a Tootsie Pop! LOL ;p Keep up the good quit, QuitOrDie. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 232 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,652 Amount Saved: $881.6 Life Gained: Days: 43 Hrs: 8 Mins: 38 Seconds: 22

Only 1 pound a day? Now I'm jealous! :) Quit now, re-lose weight later. Priorities, priorities. I'm almost back to where I was pre-quit. Lost a bit of ground over the holidays, but that was a planned reversal . Try avoiding those places where the cigs are SOOO handy....especially when you are thinking on it. Keep plans in place....always have a plan that precludes getting smokes in hand.
