Well, as you can see, I'm 11 days and counting. Never thought I'd make it this far again, but here I am. Do I have cravings, oh man yes. But they are not enough now for me to turn my back on my kids, my wife or my pocketbook. I mainly quit because here in Canada (Ontario) a pack of smokes goes for 7.50 or more. Now I was a pack a day smoker (average). That's over 225 bucks a month! I could pay for my son's daycare with that! I have also realized I can now go outside with him and shovel snow and play in it for more than 20 minutes...We got hit hard with a couple of good storms, and my son and I spent nearly 2 hours, just shoveling, playing and having one of those Hallmark moments you only see on TV. And I never needed a smoke or never needed a break to catch a second wind...just kept going until he finally got bored and a little cold. Wohoo! I outlasted a 2 1/2 year old. Thats so cool. Nope, never going back...so just thought I'd check in to see how everyone else is doing, keep everyone updated and will be back to share more great smoke-free stories.
