Second day

Hey! Thanks so much for all the words of encouragement!! I truly couldn't do it without this support, and lots of compassion. I have been three days now!!!!!! And, the best part is, I can feel the urges diminishing ever so slightly - so THERE IS HOPE!!! Everyone who is wondering about that - its TRUE! I'm gonna keep hanging in there and keep posting and keep reading. This is already the BEST thing I've ever done!!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/29/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 51 Amount Saved: $12 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 8 Mins: 51 Seconds: 34

Hi! This is my second day without smoking, and I am so amazed at how strong some of the urges have been! I wasn't able to get on line yesterday, but I did first thing this morning when I got to work, and reading everyone's posts have helped tremendously! I realize how much I need the reinforcement and positive outlook that I can always find here. This is hard! but worth it. Thanks to everyone that takes the time to tell their story. Knowing that there are people going through the same thing as I am helps alot! Welcome, glad you're here. I visit at least couple of times a day. I have my "morning meeting" and my "evening metting" and then times like these when I need some encouragement before starting dinner. I truly couldn't have made it this far without these fellow quitters! I hope you find this board as valuable as I do. gpw My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 17 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 267 Amount Saved: $68 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 15 Mins: 33 Seconds: 25

NSA Girl...quitting is hard but it is worth it. Take advantage of the program tools located to the left. They really will help you. Make sure you have coping skills in line for the difficult periods of your quit. Congratulations on making it to the second day. Keep going! Good for you, you have made a great choice. Giving up on this addiction is one of the smartest moves a person can make. You just keep comming back and reading and reading. Don't forget to talk to us once in a while and tell us how things are going for you. And when you need help, You just yell out real loud. Cheryl
