Glad I found this site. This will be my 12th attempt to quit in 6 yrs. I made it for 16 months once, but used my husband's deployment as an excuse to start again. It's been 7 months since then, and I'm ready to jump on the badn wagon again. Please dear God, let yesterday be the last day I put a nasty cancer stick in my mouth. thanks for listening, DD ps..hope I did this right (posting)

WELCOME DD, you have come to a wonderful site it is awesome and your post came through the way it was suppose to. I'm so glad to welcome you to our family of addiction. Sorry, but that is what it is, and I don't think that quitting is new to any of us that I know. I have quit many time and failed. And it was hard for me to start a new quit because I was afraid of failure. I will also believe with you that yesterday was the last time you will put a nasty cancer stick in your mouth....Hang tuff that is what it takes. Blessing sent your way!!!! :) SUNSHINE My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 86 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,473 Amount Saved: $301 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 11 Mins: 11 Seconds: 6

DD You are on the right track to a successful quit. Being here to read and post really helps a lot. And your first post was just fine, keep 'em coming, feel free to post as much as you need to or want to. Have you worked through the program tools on the left? Thats the best place you can start your quit. Welcome aboard...stay close to this site for the next few days and yell when you need some help. Hello and Welcome DD! I believe the best defence we have against this horrible addiction is each other. I've given myself permission to sit at this crazy computer for as long as it takes to come through. Reading posts seems to balance out my own irrational thoughts. So come here OFTEN! You'll be OK.
