After I completed my one year sentenance in smokers prison, I was finally free. Out walking the streets again obeying the smoking law: N. O. P. E. Still on parole I really had to mind my Ps and Qs or I would be back in prison. Every thing was going well and I was rehabilitating and reprogramming my daily life to fit my new life style of being a non smoker. The parole officer soon informed me that I had to start living with a smoker who wanted to quit but had failed several times before. Three strikes and your out was the rule and I was left with no choice but to agree or see this person go to prison for ever and ever. We are starting on day three of her quit and I suddenly find my self going through hell week all over but this time as an observer and I mean a real up close and personal observer. No posting here, it is real time 24/7 and no escape possible. I slept with her last night and she didnt cough or hack once. Her hair smelled like honey instead of the bottom of an ash trey. Wow this could work into something. When things start getting really rough for her and she has questions like does this or does that go away soon, I can give her a quick answer. Also she knows where this site is and can go visit any time she wants. I have her going to the gym in the mornings and walking, hitting the treadmill and learning how to breathe again. She goes again in the evening with a neighbor who is thinking of quitting smoking and she gets to work out again. I really think this is going to work. Another year of the quit process is now going on full tilt. Can I make it, you bet. Can I help my ward quit this addiction, you bet I can. We will win, why, Ill tell you why. Because we have faith, courage and the will to win. So sickonicko you kiss my royal behind because we are going to abuse YOU. Duffis P.S. My new non-smoking ward is my wife Roxanne AKA Pete and I am indeed proud of her.
