Oh I'm tellin ya, lady!! We're all candidates for lithium....way up one day, down the next. It must be interesting to be at 300 plus days and see this happening on the site again and again with us "newbies". What a trip My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 33 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,337 Amount Saved: $297 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 11 Mins: 49 Seconds: 59

Through the past 39 days I have had some different outlooks on smoking. Lately I believe I have seen the light! Maybe I am wrong and may sound like one of those self rightous non smokers but really if you listen you will hear a former addict admit how wrong she was about smoking for many years! In this site I see some people who are here and are bound and determined to make it and you know they will. Then there are others who just don't really want the battle...they are still in the I wanna quit stage, I just don't have the kahoonas to follow through. Life's a bi*th. Everyone has heard that, read that, or said that at one point in time. Does that mean you just say heck with it and jump off the bridge? No! You hold on for lifes little roller coaster and enjoy the ride. There are good times, there are bad times in life and when you get hit with a truck load of bad times you just dont give up and jump off the bridge do ya? Nope you deal with it....well when times get hard in your quit, lighting a cigarette is the same as jumping off a bridge, they both will kill you, so the best thing to do is deal with it right? If you view you life as a game of chance then continue to play the game and smoke but if your life has some sort of value to it then dont jump off that bridge!!! Step back and take a look at what matters people...A CANCER STICK OR A LIFE. You have family. You have someone out there who you love and who loves you. Think of them if you aren't smart enough to do it for yourself!!! It is hard!!!! Bite the big one!!! You will survive!!! Life does not end with quitting smoking, it ends with smoking!!! Get up and enjoy your smokefree lives!!! Quit moping about how horrible it is without a cigarette!!! I did it too I know it sucks but the sooner you realize what I realized and have shared with you in this post the better you will feel about your quit and about your life!! Thanks for listening to my rant. Duffis, first off I would like to say that I am completely and totally aware that pshchoness isnt a word and that I am sure there would be a better word to go there but I don't care because you got my point didnt you? I am not being the least bit cocky and I find it rather amusing that you think I am. You said it yourself...
"I seem to remember about day 180 I went to hell in a hand basket for no particular reason. Not having a bad day or anything. It (what ever it was and to this day have never figured it out) slammed me into the ground so hard I almost blew a 6 month quit. Wahhhhhhhh Wahhhhhhhhh you bet youre a** I did..but I didnt fold, I could have but did not."
You made my point for me!! Thank you!! YOu didnt smoke!!!! Thats all I am saying. I, like I previously said and have no problem admitting, know this is hard very hard but smoking doesnt make it better and obviously you've seen that as I pointed out in my quote. I am just trying to help others realize this early on so when they are at 180 days they remember that and don't just give all this up. You didnt because you had this knowledge and you knew it wasnt worth it. Thanks again for showing that DUFFIS!!! It is people like you and Joe that have helped show me the light and I would like to show others! Hello I just thought I would say for Bobs benefit that I am not at all denying days of psychoness, I am just saying there is a point when you recognize it for what it is....PSYCHONESS. You don't deal with it by smoking....its a hard time just like in the begining but now you KNOW it will pass so just as long as you get through it without smoking. That's all that matters. There has to be some point in your quit when you recognize smoking for what it is and know today, tomorrow, and forever that smoking will not make ANYTHING better! NOTHING! So go ahead Bob WHAHHHH!!! I STILL DO TOO!!! Just don't smoke....be smart enough and strong enough to know that smoking isn't going to make that WHAHHH go away its going to make it worse! Just remain smokefree!! ;p The Chicken My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 39 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 395 Amount Saved: $146.25 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 15 Mins: 46 Seconds: 29

Hey thanks I appreciate the people who actually understand!LOL! I still look at those friggin little tye dyed demons behind the cashiers back!LOL I am just glad I noticed everything for what it was. I was out all day and driving for about 4 hours all together during my day and realized when I was almost home that I had only thought about cigarettes twice....and it was the fact that I really didn't smoke!! I was shocked...didn't use no distractions like my twizzlers or candies either....and my radio is broke for some strange reason. Smoking was really pretty far from my mind. Like I said it made a quick in and out appearence but nothing like it used to be!!! Love to be a recovering addict!!! The days you feel more recovered are sooo great!! And for those other days.....WHAHHHHHHHH!!!! A good scream or cry once and a while does the body good!!
