Same here, but found the solution.
As you get older your metabolism slows down, smoking did speed up our metabolism to burn a few extra calories however it doesn't work that well cos there are still some porky smokers out there, so even smoking eventually fails at this.
The key is exercise & changing our eating habits, which we should all be doing anyway. :8o:
We've all started new lives or as i prefer to say, are carrying on from life prior to smoking. We are not reliant or being held back by nicotine addiction anymore so walking, biking, running, whatever.... does becomes enjoyable.
