What made me start smoking? It was because my mom kept accusing me of smoking and doing other things when I wasn't. I would walk down to the corner store, and a few minutes later, my mom would drive by checking on me. Finally I got so tired of it, I decided I might as well smoke, she didn't believe me any way. Defiance started my career as an addict. I smoked when I was pregnant, Four times. I smoked around my children. I smoked after my dad died of cancer. Knowing that cigarettes could kill you. I want to be able to be free from them for the rest of my life. I don't want to ever worry about when will be the next time I light up. I don't want to have anymore cravings for the nasty little cancer stick.
It is really hard to stay quit, but in the end it will be worth it. I need to find the strength in myself to be able to be smoke free for the rest of my life. With your help, I am finding the strength. Hearing about other peoples struggles and success with this addiction, helps me to know that I am not alone.
I want to thank everyone that is helping me. Without you I would not have the support to do this. I cant let the past depress me because what is done is done. But I can control my future and be smoke free.
