Butterfly, it sounds like you might have made it through this tough crave. I'm sure there will be more to come, but hopefully they will become less frequent with time. It sounds to me like you dug down deep and found your inner strength. You felt the love that you have for yourself. You felt the love that everyone here has for you as evidenced by their posts. Why would you
just want to not feel anything anymore
? Every journey has its challenges. It is those challenges that make the journey memorable. What did you learn from this one? NO yelling, no lectures, just know that we're here to listen and do whatever we can possibly do to help you through this. If you want to scream, scream. If you want to spit, spit. DO whatever you want...just don't smoke. I know...easier said than done. Take it one second at a time...we're here for you if/when you need us. N.O.P.E. BFS....when you really think about it.....Hey, these "thoughts" are nothing compared to the craves we had in the beginning. They are so much easier to dismiss than the gut wrenching kill me now craves we have been through and NEVER want to go through again. I doubt we will lose the thoughts until we quit coming here...a constant reminder about smoking but in a good way. However, the bottom line is that smoking is not a help or solution for how you are feeling. Quite the opposite, do you want this craving every 20 minutes like you did at a pack a day and you spend a s&%tload of money to keep the discomfort away, and you have to find a place to sneak off... I don't think so. Cave now and that's where you will be. So, you know me, BFS, my standard solution is a very wonderful expensive (or not) REWARD!!! A cruise, perhaps? Something funny as in a couple of DVD's. A trip to the bars for some strange stuff...LOL...can I say that here? A trip to Georgia so Lady can smack you about the head and shoulders with her broom (no offense meant, Lady). Have you read the Da Vinci Code? Guaranteed to distract and entertain you for days. Your meter doesn't reflect your real nine month quit....dig deep inside and you will find the grit, determination and strength to get through this. Post and let us know how you are doing...big hugs and prayers, Janet My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 258 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,173 Amount Saved: $1290 Life Gained: Days: 34 Hrs: 2 Mins: 37 Seconds: 26

Hi everyone. Just an update... I'm feeling MUCH better today. I actually am writing this to correct what I said yesterday... it's not true that I don't want to feel ANYTHING. I didn't even really mean it when I said it yesterday and that's NOT how I feel at all. I'm not really sure I knew what I was saying yesterday because I know that looks bad and it's not really what I want at all. Yes, I DO need feelings and I DO want to feel certain things... yesterday, I just think that a lot of them were just a little too strong for me to deal with all at once, but I dealt with it and am much better today. Just wanted to let everyone know that. Thanks for the care and concern. Joyful, I hope we can both help each other out of this! I'm feeling much better now, and I hope that you do soon too. I can't thank you enough for giving us that promise to come here first! I was about to go get some cigarettes when I remembered that I made a promise to come here and post, and that's honestly what kept me from smoking! So thank you for that! Like you said, we can do this together!!! RDM, hugs right back! Thanks! Thanks everyone for your support.
