Sweetpea... you never cease to amaze me. There is no doubt in my mind that you will make it to one year with flying colors. You are the most prepared quitter I have seen on this board in all the time I've been here. You researched, you studied, you asked all us smobers questions so you could decide if you really wanted to quit or not.... Ahhhhh the memories and just look at you now. You are one Awesome Quitter! I will be there to celebrate that 8/29/06 with you. Congratulations on 7 Awesome Months my fellow Smober! You are a perfect example of what a quit should be like. Today started out like anyother day.....awoke, had my morning cup of java and congratulated myself on being 7 months smoke free and realized that I was over the hump so to speak on making it to a year......what a great feeling..... Thoughout the day I don't have anytime to think about smoking/not smoking, at least consciously.....then it was brought to my attention this afternoon by one of my teachers,,,, I had to call the vendor of our soda machine in our staff lounge....after I got off the phone with them I put a note on the machine that a service call had been placed on 8/29/06. I had another one of my teachers come to me and ask "why" I came up with such a date....must be something special seeing as how we are only in March and August isn't here yet..... After a bit of thinking it occurred to me that I was celebrating my 7 months of being smoke free today and looking forward to 1 year....which will be 8/29/06.... Guess what I'm trying to say is it tis funny how the mind (conscious or sub conscious) works..... Keep a positive attitude and a strong mind set and this addiction can be beaten..... ~SweetPea~ My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/29/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 212 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,556 Amount Saved: $951.88 Life Gained: Days: 25 Hrs: 17 Mins: 8 Seconds: 14
