Let Go,
This is a good day to make the choice not to smoke. And believe me when I say that although it's tough right now, you will find a time when you feel good again. The secreat to making it through is to find that spot within yourself that hangs on when the going gets tough and mark a well worn path to that place. Go there often. Don't let your mind or your circumstances get the best of you.
If your a mom, then I know that you can be tough. Raising children is not for sissies. If you need to cry, go lock yourself in your room for a time out. If you want to whine to someone, come on in here...we don't take it personal. If you feel like yelling, step outside and let it go! (who cares what the neighbors say). Read everything that you can on this site. Work through the program. Make your list of survival tips. Have things for your hands to do. Get a yoyo, or play jacks (surely you remember those).
Become an expert at relaxation, breath deep and often. Send your mind on a mini vacation. Block all thoughts of smoking. Its bad, ugly, unhealthy, you don't want to do it. Take a walk, listen to the birds, sounds of the country or the city (whereever).
Buy some cheap breakables at the goodwill store, or yard sales. When you get mad (and you will) go outside and smash them, If you throw them into a cardboard box, they make a great sound, but not near the mess to clean up.
Welcome aboard! Stick close and update us often.
Cheryl
