Hello all,
It has been about 300 days from my last visit to this room and 200 days since I stopped counting the minutes, hours and days. I am still a nonsmoker and although I have an urge every now and then, life is good.
I remember "hell week" and all the support I needed and received from this group to get through those first seven days while retaining some level of sanity. I remember the two older ladies in the car at the local bank who nearly had a 250 lb biker in their back seat after they lit up their cigarettes next to me in week three. There were many ups and downs for me and many other members of this group over the last year as we faced many of the same demons that are before you now.
I am now older, wiser, a little wider (another issue), happily married, a little richer, and still a member of this group as a nonsmoker. Many of the faces have changed but the objectives remain the same regardless of who is minding the store. Ladybug and many others are still here to assist all in need.
Thanks again
Thomas
