A Danger Zone Story

It is so good to see I'm not the only crazy one here. Seriously I thought talking to myself was the final stage before they threw me in with the monkeys. But hey, as long as I have my water with me I won't want to smoke right? NOT! Ok so yeah sipping the water does help just a bit but I can't admit that. I'm happy at my pity party. Now I understand why my hubby went into work today. **thinking of ways to make him suffer tonight** I proudly take the name grumpy from the 7 dwarfs. My poor kids. Ok where's that rope?

**waves back at Duckie** Yay, I'm a part of the don't mess with the girls chain!! You don't have a broken brain we just get a few brain farts now & then. See what nicotine does to us? WTG on the tootsie roll fix!! I'll have to try that. Someone also said to rub a circle on my top lip. Worked! for a second. Seriously I think it's all about making our minds think of something else. But heck, I'll take any kind of stimulation at this point.

Duckie, I doubt seriously you will get tootsie roll hips and if Miss Piggy is laughin at you we'll just shove some tootsie rolls up her snout. :eg: I'm gonna have to check out Curves...that is an excellent deal!!! Too bad we don't live closer, we could go together!

I love the way you express yourself Eve! I'm glad we all have eachother to help get us through these horrible days ahead of us. Just imagine what we'll be like when the cravings have subsided!! LOL

What's funny is I have 3 poems published and am in the process of writing a novel and I can't write here like you guys. Not sure why, maybe I'm being too serious. But hey here's something to prove I'm losing it. I was talking to my hubby and I told him I need to smoke some water. Hmmm what's on my mind?? LOVE THE IDEA DUCKY!!!!!!Ropes tied on this end! LOL :p I just made a pot of coffee. As if that is what I need...lol...I haven't slept yet. What's the point, I'm not tired an I have the day off. Roulette wheel says "Go back to sleep" so I don't have to worry. Just been reading and typing, reading and typing. The sound and feel of the finger pitter-patter on the keys actualy helps me to relax. It feels like the intertia that smoking gives me except I don't have to inhale the keyboard to get the effect. Does that make sense or am I completely irrational. Love the detatchable components of the human anatomy 101: "Where to hide the parts of you that are detoxing while the rest of your life proceeds accordingly." I WANNA TAKE THAT CLASS!!! LOL Bless your heart Duckie!!! Keep writing if you need to!!! Day 6 No Nic Stix. Yay. woohoo. I should be [proud of myself right? Then why do I feel like big poopy doo? It must have staretd out when I woke up this morning. Oh the bed was wonderful at 5am, warm and snuggly with an hour left on the clock to just nuzzle in the pillow and continue dreaming. But alas. The alarm went off and I was going to work. Ok fine, have it your way I said to the responsible "me" voice. The one who is always going "take out the garbage nd do the recycling already geez, hey-wash that dish now, make that file folder for the new paperwork before lunch, have the salad not the garden burger, have the garden burger not the fries, have the water not the soda, oh man oh man does the list go on forever. yeah her, miss boring blasi blah. Well she wanted it her way today again and well I wasn't happy with her and so we fought and wound up being much later for work today than we've been all week. (sorry if this sounds weird, me talking like I am both first and second person, but in this case, I am! There is something that is true about this too, the way we all feel we should be doing the exact right thing at the moment we think it, that miss or mr prim and proper persona within us, ok well mine is really nutso since the smoke died. I just can't get a break from her. And then I feel bad becase of something small and stupid and then I fall to pieces as a result. Well now I am in the danger zone of smoking again and though right now I am still smoke free I have no idea how long I will make it. So here's the rest of my day and story. The hair did NOT work today. Put it up or leave it down? GOD I WISH I HAD A SMOKE TO HELP ME DECIDE!!!!!!! Checked the time: 8:30am. OMG I AM GONNA BE SO LATE!!! DA*** I WANT A SMOKE!!! I know, I'll just make a small pot of coffee and the crave will taper itself off after i'm done and then I'll hop in the car and go. Work ETA: somewhere before noon. Arrive at 10:30am. No hello's or good mornings. FROM ANYONE. GEE NICE TO SEE YALL TOO AND THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT PEOPLE. *Considers quitting job at 10:35 am* Lunch: Only thing that kept me sane. I went with my WONDERFUL friend who is the only other sane person there. Or perhaps I have it backwards. He's the only other INSANE person besides me there, and we help to keep ea

Hi Duckie, Wow congrats on 10 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am entering 7th heaven (or 7th day of hell LOL) pick one any one! I feel like playng the roulette wheel for tomorrow's agenda. I've got the day off to begin with, so whatever the little ball lands on is sure to either give me a laugh or keep me very busy. I am glad you relate to this because it makes me feel nutso too. And I know it is just the NICODEMON doin the SCREAMIN at me and you and anyone else feeling this way. It's like an excuse to procrastinate living. I was talking with my mom last night ( a more productive conversation than the one we had tonight) and we decided it was logical that smoking was an excuse to delay living and was not actual LIVING! So what it comes down to is -do I want to sit around and decide what to do next or how to do it, or do I want to JUST DO IT, and be living?? Does that make sense?? Are we all figuring something out here?? GOD I HOPE SO CUZ I DON'T WANNA SMOKE EVER AGAIN !!!! I KNOW WE'LL ALL BEAT THIS TOGETHER!!!!! After reading many posts tonight/this morning I was inspired to come up with another zany slogan- C.A.R.E. Craving Air=Real Enlightenment :p MANY BLESSINGS!! EVE :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 6 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 51 Amount Saved: $18 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 48 Seconds: 52

Hey Duke Thanks SO Much for your kind words of support and encouragement. Yeah I do feel like I am achieving this more than I am losing something that was so 'great' in my life. That I can't cope without, it's crap. I just need to take that class and I'll be fine. LOL. No really. Me and Duckie ar going to "QUIT School". OMG what an oxymoron!! So Duckie who is going to get the school supplies? LOL I'll make another pot of coffee (OMG I've been making mine weaker too and it's Vanilla Nut flavored!) we don't have to decide now, I can just spin the roulette wheel... and it says "both y'all go back to sleep". This just in: Sleep on sale at EBay, $4.99 a can. Duckie I'm going to get AT LEAST 20 CANS. I THINK IF YOU BUY 25 oR MORE YOU GET FREE S & H!!! :p You know I really don't miss sleep that much; it was making me feel old. LOL. I allowed my Birthday to slip by last month with no acknowledgment (except from mom, I can't hide from her!) I almost bought into the myth of the 35 year body change / every 7 yrs your cells renew themselves, so I was on a 7 year. I started feeling really tired more so than ever before in October so I started increasing by 1 hour at night from 6 to 7 hours, then added 1 more because I was STILL tired, started getting 8 hours, that was almost enough. ALMOST! Now I don't even need, well let's see, more than 2 or 3 a night, lol, so now I have enough time to get everything done without having to worry about sleep ever again, maybe it's not such a bad thing. I've had insomnia before, but ya know it's only fun for the first 48-72 hours. After that it's like, don't go anywhere except to bed. Not even to the kitchen. Well one thing is for sure, this place is a BEACON OF LIGHT FOR ME! And I'm really glad I met you Duckie, and I'm glad we are tied to each other now and well there are no excuses because we are so much alike that we will both be using the same ones so we will always be able to figure each other out LOL. No escape from these quitters! I don't know how much longer I will be awake here but I am gonna read and post as much as I need to before the Can of sleep kicks in. *Wonders if there is directions on can: Heat up Can of Sleep on stove for 5 minutes or until tired* lol:p MANY MANY BLESSINGS!!!! C.A.R.E. EVE :)

Duckie I think we will both be famous authors one day!!! I feel it too and no don't ever give up that hope. I was actully searching for a journal template to start writing with tonight, just to start out and found this neat writing software called , well, "The Journal" lol. I am going to give it a whirl and see if I like it. The user comments highly recommend it saying it is one of the best tools to write with as opposed to many other popular software programs and word processors. I'll keep you posted on the writing tool- if it's good I'll recommend it so you can just do a search and check it out. I am so glad you are awake Duckie. I don't know if this is my second sleepless night or if I am just tired but have no desire to sleep. I'd rather be up chatting and writing. Plus I've got streaming music on and am really enjoying the music show and don't wanna put the headphones down!! LOL. I am my own little kid. Hey me, yeah you, ME!can I have 5 more minutes please? 'But you're tired' OH ME!!! PRETTY PLEASE!!! LOL :p WOOOHOO DAY 11 FOR YOU DUCKIE :) MANY BLESSINGS EVE :) PS. I spelled my name wrong earlier and almost posted it LOL My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 58 Amount Saved: $21 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 14 Mins: 45 Seconds: 9
