Good for you for taking the plunge to quit! Your daughter (as well as your son) is a great motivator to keep you strong. This site has helped me through the tough times, a lot of the time just reading others posts makes all the difference. Good luck and congrat! Hi Carpepax, Welcome back and you can do it. You have before and you can do it again. I quit the other smoke 10 years ago today, and tomorrow is 4 months on the cigarette smoke. You will still go through many things that will take you down or take your spirits up. It's life on life's terms. You just have to do it without those crutches that don't have the answer. They just hold us back and stay in the way of not letting us deal and feel. But sooner or later no matter what we have to deal. You can do this and we are here for you. Just for now take it minute by minute and post and post and post. Let us help you that is why we are all here, to help each other. Carpepax, Today is my first day without the "other smoke". My feeling is that if I truly want to experience recovery from my nicotine addiction I need to stop smoking everything and anything. I must admit I am feeling as apprehensive as I did when I stopped using nicotine. Crazy how similar the feelings are! But, on a positive note ... if I can go through what I did for the last 79 days I can do this too! I wish you well and look forward to reading about your journey. Take care. Carpepax, You know what to do... all it takes is some determination and desire and you can succeed. I think your kids is a great reason for quitting and it sounds like you have good motivation too (the money). So just remember N.O.P.E. - Not One Puff Ever and you'll be fine! Crave the Quit! Hi all, It's been crazy busy at work, and I've been at work early and have stayed late a couple of days already I went to my former leader's place and finished business, declining to continue, and saved my first $60. I have a trip to Tucson to make next month and I need to be funded. I will be funded. It's the freedom fund. Free to go places. Free to eat well. Free to pick up a little extra something. Oh yeah.... bomp bomp chick, chicka-chickaahhhhh My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 5 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 41 Amount Saved: $50.75 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 17 Mins: 14 Seconds: 45
