Thanks for your support Ladybugg. Your meter is quite impressive. Almost 1 year. Boy that seems like forever at this point. Well, one day at a time. Flashman and Wife

Hello Rosie, Thanks for the reply. The first cigarette of the morning is a killer, however the accompleshment at the end of the day makes it all worthwhile. My wife has also quit along with me so thats a great support. I have my moments, but I think that one puff puts me back to day 1. Keep up your great efforts. Flashman

I have now been a non-smoker for 13 days. A little history, I'm now 47 and had a double bypass at 36. Angioplasti at 40 and again at 44. I quit for 3 years after the bypass and then had one cigerette. Well, stupid me. Hooked again. So now is the time to give it up again. Family history sucks. You would think I'd know better. Well, onward and upward. I'm on the patch, and zyban. I'm very determined. Thats about it. Good luck to everyone else. Yes Flashman for me too there can never be just 1 more cig. I know if I give in just once, I will probably start to smoke again. It is great that your wife has also quit. Give her a big well done from me. My husband has never smoked, but he and my kiddies are very proud. Congrats Flashman on 14 days. I am using the patch too. So far so good. Hopefully this site will make the difference for you with this quit. What are you having struggles with, or are you maybe not having too many? *grins* wow...I remember looking at others meters and saying that! Thanks...that was a boost! Just remember flash...I got here the same way you're doing it. One day at a time. sometimes one hour at a time, or even one crave at a time. I will not smoke that next cig. Hey Flashman! Welcome to my favorite site on the net! Congrats to you and your wife on getting through your first two weeks! It sounds like you have lot's of good incentive to stay quit. It's great that you and your wife are quitting. We have several successful quitting couples here. A word of caution...please keep your quits separate. You can have great support from each other, but two quitters in a household can be very stressful too. But hey, you also get double the rewards!! ;) :) Stay close and read, read, and post...alot. We CAN do this!
