Hey Rusty, do you want to copy/paste your post into the new thread in Coping with cravings? There is a great thread over at another forum where people at various stages of their cold turkey quit, give an honest summary of: 1. How many seconds per day they spend craving a cigarette. 2. How many times they think about a cigarette etc. 3. Any other statistical information that would be inspiring to other quitters, all condensed into one thread. This is especially set up for the benefit of newbies and it would be great if there was one here. (Maybe there is, but I haven't found one yet.) A lot of people can't join in over there as you have to be off not only cigs but also NRT too. It would be brilliant if someone who has been quit for longer than me could start a thread like that - it's so inspiring... Well, just an idea My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 128 Amount Saved: 12 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 3 Mins: 7 Seconds: 14

Ok I started it and it's in Coping with cravings entitled: Cig and NRT free - how many seconds a day do you still want a cigarette? ex-roller, There is not a thread here like that that I am aware of. Feel free to start one yourself if you wish... perhaps in the "coping with cravings" forum. That sounds very interesting and I'm sure a lot of people here could benefit from seeing how seldom older quitters crave, and could give hope to those just starting. I think that's a great idea and I think you should start it. :) Crave the Quit! Ex Roller, I think you just started it! I'll go: My personal stats are: I'm 56 and I used to smoke 1 1/2 to 2 packs a day. Here are my new stats: I have been quit for 1 Year, 4 Weeks, 2 Days, 17 hours, 35 minutes and 37 seconds (395 days). I have saved $1,483.99 by not smoking 11,871 cigarettes. I have saved 1 Month, 1 Week, 3 Days, 5 hours and 15 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 12/14/2004 10:48 PM I hope that this information will show new quitters that you are never too old, too addicted, or too addle-brained :p to quit. It can be done. You just have to make up your mind to do it and then not let any person, thought, or situation get in your way. Today I have not craved or wanted to smoke. Rusty :)
