first 24 hours done

well i stopped smoking friday night and have gotten through the first 24 hours ok i suppose.Between patches and sleep it is done. It sure is difficult when you have been doing it for 45 years to just quit. They can say what they want about patches the ingrained habits are there. Well that is it for now.

Hi Pierre, you are absolutely right.
They can say what they want about patches the ingrained habits are there.
The patches are just a weapon in your arsenal to quit. They won't make you quit. They will only ease the withdrawal from the drug. Only YOU can make you quit. Another weapon in your arsenal is right here in front of you. This site, these people and the quit program tools and workbooks will be invaluable to you. Good luck and welcome! Good Morning Pierre, Congrats on your quit! 24 hours of being smoke-free is a great start. Have you planned your quit? Did you ask yourself what you will do when the cravings creep up on you? If you do not have any coping mechanisms please jump back on our site and we will discuss your options. Again, congrats on becoming an ex-smoker! We are by your side every step of the way!
