a little tense

Sheller, Good to see you! Last semester, I found out that finals was a huge trigger for me too that I hadn't dealt with smoke free yet. I realized that when I used to study for finals, I had a pen in one hand and a cigarette in the other! So, I had to replace that cigarette with a licorice rope. The lady at the grocery store looked at me kinda funny when she saw me come up to the register with FIVE BAGS of licorice!!! She said, "like licorice?" I said, "it's finals." And she conceded. :) But that's what I did. You'll get through it just fine. 56 days is awesome! Congratulations! Crave the Quit! Hey all, Well it's report card time and I'm getting tense. Luckily I have had your past experience to help me. I know that you have to get over all milestones to really feel quit. I smoked a lot last term and this term I just have to make all those darn things without any tobacco. I don't in any way doubt that I can do it, it's just making me ...well... tense. Has anyone else found a trigger they didn't know they had or forgot about? Good luck to all No sticks in 06 Sheller My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 56 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 795 Amount Saved: $280 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 18 Mins: 36 Seconds: 39

Hi Sheller, you never know where those nasty little triggers are going to come from, but the most important thing is that you don't give in to them. You draw on the successes you've already seen to give you the confidence and strength to face the now. I know you can do it because you've already done 56 days. Let the tension go...breathe deep and know that you don't smoke anymore!
