Babs... I'm not sure about the laser treatment you are speaking of. I have never heard of it myself. I always wanted that miracle pill to quit smoking and while we are at it, I will take one for the weight as well. We all want the easy way out.
Unfortunately, you are a nicotine addict just like the rest of us here. Now you find yourself in Hell week. This is part of the quit pocess. Quitting is hard. No doubt about it. You will also experience every emotion ever thought of during this process. Go ahead and kick, scream, shout, cry, be angry, tear up a pillow, break dishes, whatever it takes, just don't smoke. I told myself early in the quit that every day is one day closer to never feeling this way again. Withdrawal sucks! Remember it well when you think about lighting another cigarette. Remember how tough this is and I'm sure you will not want to repeat it.
Take some deep breaths. How about doing a puzzle, reading a book, watching a movie? Anything to take your mind off of smoking. You are on day two. Do not give up now. Keep going.
NOPE is how we all quit. Not One Puff Ever, so if you have any cigarettes drown them in water and then throw them out. Make sure you soak them first because you will be looking for them later (lots of people have dug through the trash for a cigarette). You are in control, not the addiction. Hang on tight and keep going. It is so worth it. I promise.
