My Name is JR....Well like everyone else , I have quit alot, just to find myself smoking again, is it just a matter of time. I know I could stay off the addiction if I never had to be around anyone else that is smoking. The first 10 days have been pretty good , no biggy, just ate a liitle more often, I also quit all caffine at the same time and of course my worst enemy alcohol, thats a huge trigger for my nicotine addiction. Hey for now it's all cool, I'm glad I happened to find this site I think it might help. Cigs are such a nasty habbit and really now days people almost shame you as though your some kind of leper, did I mention I want to live, not die of some horrific and senseless problem I created from my own foolish choices. Well there's some fat to chew on. Hey Jr, Welcome back to the clean world of non-smokers. I've quit 5 times myself, two of those times b/c I was pg. My last quit was Feb of last year so I'm proud of myself that I've worked up the courage to try again so soon and you need to be proud of yourself too! There is no such thing as a confirmed smoker so get that out of your head and keep positive. You said it would be easier if there wasn't anyone else smoking. I say that a lot to myself, but it helps to pity the smoker instead of envying them or thinking you are making a sacrifice. You are free from prison and free to enjoy life don't let fear get to you. Be strong and never doubt your decision to be a non-smoker. I'm afraid to have a beer or glass of wine myself. I'm not ready for that test just yet!

Sadly, we all were classed as second-class citizens. It all begin I suppose with the little ones in school being taught the evils of nicotine. Now many of those have grown up do not want to see family and friends voluntarily kill themselves. This is becoming almost a no-brainer when it comes to quitting. What ever the magic pixie dust you need only you can find. For every excuse to possibly return to the firey pits of hell with tobacco, there is a counter point for stopping permanently. You see, with knowledge and an absolute desire to cast aside that demon, it is possible. Just say that over and over until you can turn away from the evil of it all. The product ATROVENT has a poster they offer to doctor's offices. It is labeled the Dangers of Smoking. It hangs prominently in my home office where I must see it constantly. A little tuff with the damaged organs and all that are displayed, but quite profound. Find yourself something to constantly remind you of why you are quitting. I suggest the Australian Governmental Quit Site for a start. Go there and click on the smokescreens for a lesson in quitting: www.quitnow.info.au Good luck.
